About Me

Get to know me a little better

I have been teaching at Los Osos for 9 years. I enjoy digital art (graphic design/photography) as well as painting and drawing. I am happiest when I am making art or being creative in some way. I love learning new things and I am often delving into uncharted territories as I research my latest interests which often change. My newest passion is jewelry making, which is both expensive and rewarding.

In high school I was inspired by an art teacher who helped me by providing encouragement and opportunities for creative expression. After exploring my options and doing some soul searching while in college, I realized that I wanted to help high school students in the same way that I had been helped- I decided to become an art teacher.

Sharing what I know about art and design with high school students is very rewarding. They are willing to try new things, and have such creative ideas. They are right on the brink of adulthood, figuring out who they are and what makes them tick as unique people. I think it’s an honor to be able to give them some tools to express themselves and to help them to get in touch with their creative selves.
