Nursery rhymes are often associated with historical events and the meaning given to many a rhyme can be seen as political satire. The first really important English rhyme dates back to the fourteenth century. This little rhyme was passed quickly from one person to another, was easily remembered and led to an English revolution - a call for recognition and class equality!

When Adam delved and Eve span
Who was then a gentleman

( To delve means to work and 'span' refers to spinning yarn
there was no class distinction when there was only Adam and Eve )

Animate one of the nursery rhymes using Photoshop and pictures that you find or draw. Avoid illustrations that were created for the actual nursery rhyme. Your interpretation can be symbolic.

Video game sprites are characters, blasts, or other effects that are used in video games. You will be using Photoshop's animation capabilities to create your own video game animation scene.

Here is an example of a video game character sprite sheet that has a character drawn in many different positions. When the drawings are placed together (in some cases on top of each other) they depict different actions such as running or jumping.
Assignment: Look on the internet for video game sprites and backgrounds.  This is a 5 period animation project. You can do one long animation or several shorter ones.

If the sprite sheet is in "Index Color" mode you will have to convert it to RBG before you will be able to work with it in Photoshop.you can unlock the backgroung layer by dragging the lock to the trash.
Steps to convert Index color to RGB color: Go to Images/ Mode/ then switch from Index to RGB.
