The artist Piet Mondrian is our inspiration for this composition.
Piet Mondrian, (pronounced: Pete Moan-dree-on) (b. Amersfoort, Netherlands, 1872 —1944), Dutch painter
Mondrian was an important contributor to the De Stijl art movement and group, which was founded by Theo van Doesburg.

Despite being well-known, often-parodied and even trivialized, Mondrian's paintings exhibit a complexity that belies their apparent simplicity.

He is best known for his non-representational paintings that he called compositions, consisting of rectangular forms of red, yellow, blue or black, separated by thick, black rectilinear lines.

They are the result of a stylistic evolution that occurred over the course of nearly 30 years and continued beyond that point to the end of his life.
Use Photoshop to create a design that uses a grid and a line or lines from a favorite song. Use a grid to set up your composition.

LINE is a mark with greater length than width. Lines can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal, straight or curved, thick or thin.

Lines add movement to a design by directing a viewers eye.

You can create lines from sections of photos, type, the paint brush and any other device that you want.

Your design will be evaluated on the areas listed below.
Creativity- Be inventive!
Design Quality- a consideration of the success of the composition and craftsmanship.
